Match Cancellation Policy

If a match is cancelled/postponed/forfeited, or if the game will not be played as scheduled (eg not enough players for a 15s match), the Home Team (as listed in the schedule) OR the Match Organizer must notify the PNRRS Allocator at least 3 calendar days before the match in order to avoid penalties or fees.

  • Notification 3 or more calendar days prior to kickoff (e.g. for a Saturday match, notified by Wednesday): no match fee charged, no referee payment

  • Match Cancelled 1-3 calendar days prior to kickoff (e.g for a Saturday match, cancelled Thursday or Friday): $50 cancellation fee, no match fee charged, no referee payment

  • Match Cancelled day of the match(e.g. a Saturday match being cancelled on Saturday): $50 cancellation fee PLUS standard match fee charged, referee will receive standard payment.

  • Should the match be cancelled and the Society is not notified at all, the Society reserves the right to impose additional penalties and will work with the organizing body to determine appropriate further sanctions.

PNRRS will charge the cancellation fee to the entity that would normally pay the match fee regardless of who is to “blame” for the cancellation.

PNRRS, at it’s sole discretion, may waive these cancellation fees where the cancellation was due to factors such as weather or other issues that would make playing the match unsafe.
